This week was another good one! It was a different one though!

So it has been a weird different couple of weeks. We have kind of hit a dry spell in our area. We have great investigators and are progressing really well except they are not doing a few things to completely progress... coming to church is the hard one but it has always been the hard thing for investigators to keep or start doing.

On Friday we had a HUGE talent show! We played a duet together. Me on the flute and Hermana Hammond on the piano! I can't wait to show you the video!! It was soooo funny! So in our ward we have a joke with them singing "God be with you till we meet again" our Bishop always jokes with me that we are going to sing it in our sacrament meeting and I am always opposed to it and after that all the members sing it to me because they see that it bugs me! So we decided to do something funny for our song at the talent show. We played it and at first we played it all nice and beautiful and then halfway through Hermana Hammond ran her hand across the keys and we did a remix and did it faster and funner (I am not sure funner is a word)! The ward loved it! A lot of people have never seen a flute before so it was fun to show them. We also did a part of Karaoke and I was chosen to sing!!!! NOOOOO!!! haha But I did it! They had music in English and I got to pick! I didn't know 99% of the songs but I did know one of them.... "We are the champions" by Queen! haha It was so much fun!! Well the party started at 9:30 and lasted until 3 in the morning!!!! W e had to leave at 10:20 to be in the apartment at 10:30! It was sooo hard to leave! The talents here are amazing! There where a lot of dancers and music players! We didn't get to see much but in the next couple of weeks the members are going to show us their talent so that we can see it!

This week we cleaned the baptismal font here...... I really hate it! I did it in La Banda and now here????? UGH! haha but it was fun... I guess. It looks sooooo much better! I just hope that it stays clean! haha
I really don't have any updates on investigators. They are doing well. But this week has been interesting because I feel like that I have grown soooo much this week! We had a lot of experiences that were really spiritual and Ii felt the spirit a lot.

One experience we had was on Thursday. There has not been a lot of times in my life, if any, where I have received a strong witness from the spirit but I definitely got one Thursday! We were on the way to a lesson with M__________ and C________. We were going to invite them to be baptized and prepare for this Saturday and on the way there we were talking about what we were going to share with them and who was going to say what and so on, but I was talking and in the middle of my sentence I stopped and I felt very strongly that we should not go... I brushed it off and we kept walking.... again and the feeling was even stronger that we should not go.... I kept brushing it off because I really wanted to teach them, but once again I felt it but stronger. Suddenly Hermana Hammond said that she doesn't feel good about teaching them and I told her that I felt the same thing. We didn't know what to do. We felt like it was actually dangerous for us to go. We were very confused. We stopped in the park nearby and sat on a bench. We prayed. I received such a strong feeling of DON'T GO!! I have never felt the spirit like I had in that moment. It was really interesting. We didn't understand why and we still don't but we placed our confidence in the Lord and we didn't go. We still feel good about our decision to follow those promptings. Our district leader was really confused and a little angry that we didn't go. He has been pushing us hard to get M____ and C___________ baptized because they are the only ones in our area ready. It is really frustrating but I am not going to talk about it any more.

So after that experience, I have had a lot of interest in the way the spirit speaks to us. I have been studying chapter 4 in Preach My Gospel and there is a page where it talks all about different examples in the scriptures of the way he works. It has been really cool to study it and learn how to better understand the spirit! It's a great chapter to study!! I recommend it!

I can feel that the Lord is teaching me on a more intense level this past week! Not sure if it's because I only have 2 weeks left or another reason but I feel like I am on a high speed chase of pure doctrine! haha

So I guess that it is finally that time of the mission where I have run out of Pdays to write you all. I only have one more left!! I can not believe how fast my mission has gone and that it is actually almost over! So obviously that next week is me last day writing you and the last day for me to get letters from you and I have a very special request... because it will be my last week, I will need a spiritual boost.

Here is your homework...

Next week I would like you to write me what Padre Celestial has taught you in the past 18 months. What have you learned about Christ and how it has changed your life!! I know you all have grown sooo much and I would like to have your testimonies with me during my last week in my mission! It will help me a TON!!!!
In the reading this week I freaking LOVE 3 Nephi!!! It is just sooooo good! I am learning a lot about the Savior and his love for us and I am learning more every day! It was so nice to see the way the Lord shared His love for the people in the Americas and I get the chance to know how much He loves them! I love it here and the people here! I understand a lot about the willingness the people had to accept His doctrine when He was here because they were and still are humble and meek in heart and with open arms to the Savior of the world!

As for the reading this week....

WOW what a week!!!!! It really is just flying by!!

Well this week was a little hard for us. Our area hit a dry spell this week. Our investigators are not really progressing. It's been hard. We were doing sooo good but then this week we hardly taught anyone and we couldn't find anyone new to teach. But there are weeks like that in the mission and there is nothing that we can do but move on and find the chosen! haha

Well this week we had fun! We had our interviews with president Chaparro. He is so great! I really like him! I'm just sad that I don't have more time to learn from him! But he will be so great for the mission!! He talked to me a lot about what he thinks that this mission needs. What is something that every area needs? Great question right? I was stumped but he just sat there and waited for my answer. So I thought and thought and I thought some more. I was thinking about every area that I had served in and what it needed and I immediately thought about charity. All of my areas needed a lot of love! That is what I shared with him! I told him that love is what every area needs. I told him about how when I shared my love with others, the mood changed, trust was stronger and the spirit was powerful. I learned a lot about charity in the mission! I still come up short having it but I know that it has gotten a lot better in the mission. Loving and serving!!!

So not a lot of updates on investigators this week because we didn't teach very many but I have got some great stories that I want to share!!!

First off was yesterday!! Oh my gosh! It was CRAZY!! We had a family home evening with a less active S____________ and her family. We are teaching S__________'s friend, J______! He is the one that is sensitive to the other side of the veil. Anyways, he is great and he wanted to teach us how to cook a few things!! He taught us pizza, empanadas, and tortillas.... well it was an eexperience that I will never forget! So we are making the dough and having fun with her crazy kids, making a mess with flour and we are rolling out the dough for the empanadas. So I was filling empanadas and Hermana Hammond was putting sauce on the pizza. She came over to me and said in English....

"hermana... I have something to tell you... there's cochroaches crawling on the food..... 2 were in the pizza sauce...."

I will leave you time to go puke...

Are you done?? Good, so am I...

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!?!?!?!?!

It was HORRIBLE!!! They were everywhere in the kitchen! Lets just say that the food came out and I was sooo sick to my stomach I couldn't eat! It was just crazy! Her kids are nuts and the youngest who is 4 nailed me in the face with a ball of dough. I didn't have time to warn Hermana Hammond and then he nailed her in the face too! I am soo surprised we don't have black eyes!

Saturday tradition

This week we taught M__________ and C___________. It was interesting. They are so great and love to learn but they are sooo iintelligent and they are just soooo stubborn its hard to teach them. So this week we taught them about prayer. We told them how to pray and the importance of prayer. We explained it for a good hour and we thought that we had explained it clearly. They said they understood it. We asked one of them if they could say the closing prayer. M___________ hates praying. She thinks its just empty words so she wouldn't say the prayer. So C__________ said he would do it. We bowed our heads and listened. He then said... " I would like to ask you to keep preaching to us and to keep helping us learn..." I looked up and he was looking at us, I realized that he wasn't praying. I looked and Hermana Hammond and she was looking at him too. We listened to him basically share his testimony and then he said , " in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."........ yeah he was praying the whole time! haha we laughed about it forever after! haha

This week will be exciting! We have a huge activity this week on Friday! It;s a great big talent show!! We are sooo excited! We are going to do a duet with the piano and flute! We picked the hymn God be with you till we meet again. We are going to play it really pretty and nice and then at the chorus we are going to Rock and Roll it!! We are stoked!!

So I have once again run out of time to write more but I pray that all is well and that you too are enduring till the end! After all we only have 3 more weeks!!

Love you sooo much!!!
Hermana Creason

oh and the reading! i forgot the paper but on Sunday we need to be on 3 nefi 16

Monday, August 11, 2014

Oh wow there is a lot to tell you guys this week! I really hope that I don't forget anything and that I have enough time to write! haha

Well to begin with C___________ and M__________... they are great people but we found something out this week.... C__________ is a Hustler...... haha he got out of jail about 5 months ago and he was in jail from robbing money from a church... haha so that was fun to find out... haha we are really bummed about it because we don't know what to do about it. He doesn't know that we know and he has lied to us about a lot of things. Let's just say that the bishop was able to figure it all out. We are bummed because we want to keep teaching M___________ but we just can't teach one and not the other... our leaders told us to really pray about it and go by the spirit!

So we were kinda bummed because our progressing investigators are just falling through! Its tough but where there are hardships, the Lord is there too because we have AMAZING INVESTIGATORS that just came out of no where!!!

J__________: I am not sure if I have talked about him yet. He is a friend of a less active that we are trying to activate. He is the one that read the Book of Mormon in a week. Well we recently couldn't find him and then as we followed the spirit, we found him again. He then told us his issue... J_________ is a freaking medium!! Meaning that he can see the other side of the veil!! He can feel out energies too.  He said that he already knows if we are in his friends house because he can "feel" us..... that's a first... haha.   He has had a lot of bad experiences in churches because he said he can see evil things  or things that just aren't right. He hates churches. Well we invited him for a church tour of the chapel. He didn't want to go when people where there so we did it later Sunday afternoon. It was sooo good. He said that he feels really good in the church and that its very, very peaceful! We talked about the Plan of salvation and he loved it! He wants to be baptized!!! He is prepping for August 30th! He really, really wants this!
J_________ C.: he is the son of a member. He was actually baptized when he was 8 but his papers were lost and he isn't a member so he needs to be baptized again but the thing is... he doesn't want to... well didn't ;) He drinks a lot and doesn't have a desire. He said that missionaries have been teaching him for years but never wanted to. From the beginning we just clicked with him!! He is really great! He wants to change and he wants to know how THROUGH THE BOOK OF MORMON!! How great is that?¿?¿?¿? He really is great and he too is prepping for the 30th of August.

M__________: she is the girlfriend of a member. She is from Spain! She is so great! She came to church yesterday! She loves us and we are teaching her tonight! She is a fireball and we like her a lot!!

So a lot of funny things happened this week that I wanted to share with you that I KNOW will bring a smile to your face and make you WISH you were in Argentina!

So this week we forgot to buy something in the store so we went on Wednesday... when we checked out we got our change back and the checker asked if I had 50 cents.. I told him no and he said well we don't have enough change here so as for your 50 cents change, can I give you a band aid? .... only in Argentina is a band aid change!! haha We laughed forever about it! and to make it better as we were walking back to our apartment, laughing I looked at a cop that was leaning against a wall biting his walkie talkie when we got closer he was staring at something in the road and he was MAKING OUT with his walkie! I LOST IT!!! Oh how I love Argentina!!!!!
O____________ is doing great! He is in Buenos Aires this week and it has been very lonely without him here! haha But we text him every day!!!

As for the reading the reading this week.. Aren't the war chapters so much fun to read???..... haha well I came across a scripture I really liked. Its in Alma 43:37-38. here it talks about the Nephites and the war with the Lamenites. The Nephites did a good job and not as many died like the Lamenites but something grabbed my attention. The Nephites still died from the loss of blood because their protection was not enough. The more I thought about this scripture the more I thought about my personal armor of God and if I have enough armor, or is some of my spiritual body exposed to the attacks from Satan? I thought about the Armor of God, and how we have it in our lives. We have it as we obey the commandments of the Lord. So I thought if I am being obedient... not in everything... no one is but the thing is, if we are not obedient we aren't completely protected and we are vulnerable to the attacks of Satan and we fall because of the loss of blood. This loss of blood is SIN and we are staining our souls! It was a really cool study and I invite you to read it too and receive revelation!!

On the bus to Salta

My hair is getting long

WOW!!!
Ok fist things first! Yesterday was transfers and...... WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY!!!! Me and Hermana Hammond are staying in Cabildo!!!! We are sooooo excited!!!!

So as for this week it has been a hard one... it was only hard because there hasn't been progress with some of the investigators and it was hard to find them this week. It was a little disappointing but its all good. It happens.

So this week we had to travel down to Salta and it was interesting. Wednesday is when we traveled. Our bus left at 2 in the morning and we didn't feel like sleeping before that time would be a good idea so we stayed up and did random stuff. Hermana Hammond took a 45 min shower and while she was there I was looking and going through some of my stuff and my memories in the mission. It was really cool to see how far I have come in such a short time! It brought tears to my eyes and a smile to my face! It was fun!
Then we traveled to Salta.. a good 7 hour bus ride. We were there until 4 and then traveled back.... we are still tired from the ride!!!

Well this week teaching wise has stunk... its been hard. Basically we are ready to find new people to teach because the ones we are teaching don't want to do anything and we feel like we are wasting our time... but we will see what we do with them....

I really don't have a lot to say about this week because not a lot happened.... OH we did find a family! The moms name is M__________ and she was a reference from the elders in our district. Well O____________ wanted to accompany us so he left with us. Well as we were teaching here her kids started showing up and were really interested in that we were saying! It was cool! She then said that for years she had seen the missionaries walk by her or talking to someone and for years she had been wondering when it was going to be her turn! She was so speechless when we came to her door and she felt so happy! IT was super cool to hear that from her and it makes me want to talk to EVERYONE!!! Her kids are super excited to learn more! W e are excited to teach them!!!

Well because nothing else really happened this week I guess I can share what I learned in our Book of Mormon reading...

Well I was really taken back in Alma 5.... I felt like such a sinner after I read that!! I felt like I am not even close to be ready to be at the judgement bar before God! I was just in awe at the way that Alma was teaching with so much Power and Authority! It was CRAZY!! I learned a lot from it!
I know that we are not perfect but through the atonement of Christ we are!

I invite you to read Alma 5:14-34 and think about the questions that he is asking and answer about them for yourself. Then I invite you to do what I did. After I read that I felt so bad about my sins that I felt the need to kneel down and offer a prayer of forgiveness. After I had an overwhelming feeling of peace and love came over me. It was a moment I will never forget!

I know that the Lord is always ready to forgive us of our faults and shortcomings but it takes us to offer the prayer to receive it!

I love you all soooo much! This is my last transfer! I have 6 short weeks and 5 more letters home! WE ARE GOING TO EXPLODE CABILDO!!!! Wish us luck!!

Wow what a weird week!

I am on early this week because we are going to the fair today!!!! I can't wait!!! haha

Well this week has been a different one. Not a lot of new things here. This week we had to travel to Salta because Hermana Hammond had to do some stuff for her Visa so we left Thursday night and it was a good 7 hour bus ride..... we left about midnight and tried to sleep.... I got about two hours in.... but its all good. We got to Salta and we waited to get her visa stuff done but we couldn't get it done so we have to travel back this tomorrow again.... its not fun but we make the best of it!!!
Hermana Hammond has become such a great friend to me!!!  There is a very clear reason why we are companions!! She has such a drive to improve and to do her best and its helping me finish my mission strong! Speaking of, next week is transfers!!!! I can not believe how fast this transfer has gone!!! Its unreal!!! The last six weeks have felt like a blur!!! Its going tooooo fast!!!!!!!
I don't want to leave Cabbildo!! I love it soooo much! The ward doesn't want me to leave either! Yesterday the bishop said that they need me here! It really touched my heart and I am truly blessed to be here.
Yesterday I talked in sacrament meeting. The Bishop didn't give me a topic. So I decided to talk on something that I have been studying this month a lot. I have been studying about letting go of my fear. Fear of anything. but mostly fear of man. I have been trying so hard to drop my natural man habits and submit to the will of the Lord. I decided to talk on that and I talked about how we can drop our fear and share the Gospel. I think it was really good!
This ward is growing like crazy and I love it soooo very much!

This week we had crazy little miracles and they were so amazing!
On Monday we had a lesson with M__________ and C____________ again! The lesson was sooo strong! The miracle was that they had no questions for us.... they wanted to listen! Usually they always start with questions and it just kinda throws off our lesson but the spirit was there from the very beginning! We talked to them about the Restoration again. It was so powerful! At the very end C__________ asked me if I had prayed to know that it was true. I took a moment to gather my thoughts and I said yes. When I said that an overwhelming feeling of truth came over me and I knew that the restoration was true! It was cool! We invited them to go to church this week and they DID!!! It was so good!! They are progressing a lot they just have a problem with praying. They feel like its just air coming out of their mouth. We are going to work on that this week.

On Thursday we had a lesson with V___________! OH MY GOSH THIS GIRL IS AMAZING!!!!! She is so great!! We talked to her about the power of prayer and with a broken heart and contrite spirit. We told her about the story of O__________and how prayer changed everything with him. She was touched and we felt prompted to invite her to pick a day to be baptized as a goal. We pulled a calender out and she looked at it. She didn't even pause and said the ¨"6th of August I am getting baptized." Its in the middle of the week, but this day has a huge significance for her so we are going to make it work. We feel so good about it and I really think she can make it. We have not been able to see her mom, and she does not want to see us. We asked V___________ how we can help but she said that just prayers will be fine. As we walked home, Hermana Hammond thought that we should write a letter of thanks to her mother for the opportunity to teach her daughter and to get to know her. We think that this will help soften her heart. We are going to try it and see what happens! If you could, please keep her in your prayers for the 6th of august!!!!

SO many other miracles this week but I will save them for another day.

So the world cup was nuts!!!! That week of semi finals and finals was soooo bad! Everyone kept calling us Germans! We started counting how many times we heard it but we finally lost track... haha We are still getting it! haha. Well the day of the games we could work until the game started but during the games and after we could not be outside! I have video taped the noise of when Argentina won semi finals so I will show you that when I get home!! Its NUTS!! Soccer here is a way of life and they take it VERY close to heart! A lot of people freak out when I tell them I have never really played it.... haha O_____________ is one of those! haha

Its finally warming up! Today is beautiful and soooo nice! Its not hot, its just perfect!!

Presidente Capparo is so great!! We talked a lot about having converts before baptism and he wants us to really focus on the recent converts! It feels like a different mission but its also really really good!!

Well because we are going shopping right after this I have forgotten my reading chart on where we are this week. I know that we should be at Alma 20 next Sunday..... I think...... oops..... haha oh well. Basically its 2 or 3 chapters a day so just base it on that! I loved the reading this week!!! I really love Mosiah! Its so interesting to read and I love applying the stories into my life! I always love studying about Alma the Younger and watching him go from a rebel to the church to the GREATEST MISSIONARY!! Its cool watching his change and its been cool that I can apply it to me in my mission how I have changed! I love the scriptures and am growing a huge testimony of them!

Well this is my week this week! I love the mission and I am so sad that its almost over! But I'm going to finish strong and drop all my fear!!!!

Love you all soooo very much!
Hermana Creason
PS keep V__________ in your prayers and pray that I wont have transfers next week!!!! haha

Ok I have never had a better week in my entire life!!!!!!!!!! I have never ever been so happy and never have I been so undeserving of the blessings received this week!!!!!!

The first thing to say is O____________WAS BAPTIZED ON SATURDAY!!!!!!! I honestly have never been so happy in my life!!! This week was such a spiritual growth for him and for me! I guess I will start at the beginning!!

Well this week we have been in daily contact with him so that he could have spiritual strength to press on and all! I gave him dads letter and he loved it! We also taught him about the priesthood and he was really interested about it. We talked about how this would be such a blessing for his family and help them to learn. He wants them to listen to us and I think that in time they will! We are starting with his mom! We already have a foot in the door because she likes to teach us how to make yummy things! haha so I guess its 2 pluses! haha anyway. So we had taught him everyday and we saw how he changed every day! We fasted with him on Thursday and it was the first time that he had fasted. He really enjoyed it but we got a text at midnight from him asking if he can brush his teeth while fasting.... haha oh its fun watching him learn! haha. Well he passed his interview and every time we leave him something to read, when we came back, he always asked us what it meant or what he thinks it meant. He has started marking his scriptures and reading them daily! Then came the day of his baptism. We went to his house that morning and we watched Finding Faith in Christ. It was a great way to start of his baptism day!!! Later that day we went and filled the font and studied, contacted a few references and then went back to the church to prepare. The baptism was at 7 and he got there at 6:30. Everyone showed up around 7:30 but he didn't mind. haha
The part of the night that I loved the most was when they left to go change and we waited outside with our cameras in a few moments O____________ and his best friend A______ (member) came out in white. In this moment tears filled my eyes. He had a huge smile on his face and he was ready to go. It was a beautiful service! The best one that I had seen in Argentina! Not very many people were there but it was soooo spiritual!

After the talks he was baptized! I cried! I didn't cry because it was another baptism, I cried because O___________ has become my brother and a very dear friend and now he has entered the door of eternity! We met him outside the font and he took my hand. I looked him in the eyes and said almost crying ."O_________, usted es LIMPIO." (O_________, your clean!) He looked at my with a firmer grip and said "por fin" (finally) "gracias Hermana"

I  honestly can not take any credit! It was all the Lord! The Lord molded us both this week and we both changed!

Yesterday O__________ went to church and actually beat us there!!! H e received the Holy Ghost AND the Priesthood!!!!!!!! He is GLOWING with the spirit!!!
I honestly can not express the joy that I feel and the way the Lord has taught me this week! I have grown so much and I am sooo happy!!!
O____________ has become a very dear friend and a brother to me and now, he has entered into the kingdom of the Lord! I feel so privileged to have been able to be here to witness this miracle!!!!

Thank you so very much for all your prayers and all your faith to help him this week!! I know it happened because of his faith and all the spiritual help he has been getting!!!!!

I have ran out of time to tell more but I will have ton to say later!!!

Making the yummiest treat!!!

Wow what a week!

Well I think that I jinxed my self last week when I said that I was 100% better. I have learned that I have Dads immune system. I got sick this week again but I'm doing a lot better now. It was worse on Friday but its in the past and I'm moving on. So while you guys where watching fireworks, I was buying cold meds.... haha

No I actually had a really cool experience while I was sick and its really spiritual so I guess I will have to save it for when I come home because writing it down would not be enough.
Well this week has been an interesting. I guess I will tell you what has been happening with O________.
Oh my gosh this man has got to be one of my favorite stories that I have on my mission!! He has really been changing! We had a lesson with him almost every day this week to help him get ready for his baptism this week It has been really cool watching him change and apply the atonement in his life. Dad said something in one of his letters a while ago that said that O__________ is on his way to receiving a testimony that will help him. After that we have focused all of our lessons on him strengthening this testimony that he needs to have. I can see a huge change in him and it really is a privilege to see. I have seen so many things on my mission but to really see someone change and they change because they love the Lord and they want to do what is right it really is an honor more than anything!
So yeah he is prepping to be baptized this Saturday and it is going to be the best day EVER!! We had a lesson with him and our new Bishop yesterday and might I just add that our Bishop is AMAZING!!! It's so cool watching this little ward grow! Before we had less than 20 people going to church and yesterday we had 65 in Sacrament meeting!! Its just amazing!!! Anyway back to O___________. Well in the lesson the Bishop was asking him what the ward can do to help him get ready and feel like a special day for him, then he asked him a very good question. He asked "O__________, why do you want to be baptized?"

His response brought tears to my eyes. He said that he feels the need to be clean and to do the right thing.

That one response changed my mission. I know that I am here in the mission to help change lives but I feel like mine is the one that is changing! I honestly can never thank God enough for this chance to serve Him and for Him to mold me and teach me the things that he wants me to know.

As for my new President... I am so excited to work with them! Presidente y Hermana Chaparro! Tomorrow we have a big conference with them and we are going to get to know them and their family.
This week in the reading I came across a scripture I really liked in 2 Nephi 25:23
Here Nephi is saying how much the words he has been writing is worth so much and that he has worked so hard to do the will of the Lord by helping us know and understand the doctrine of Christ. I always am so sad to be done with 1 and 2 Nephi. I really do love them and learn so much from him and his family! But there are bigger and better things awaiting us in the scriptures this week.... and I am a slacker and forgot my paper that says where we read everyday....
But I do know that by Sunday we need to be at Mosiah 10... so I guess you guys can figure it out.... haha

Well sorry this letter has been short, well shorter than normal. I have been writing and responding to a lot of people today!

Just want to say I love you and that we need to make the next 2 months count!!!!!!!!

All my love!
